My approach to Individual Therapy
◇
Insight, clarity, and connection
I provide individual therapy in Bend, Oregon for teens and adults who want more than quick fixes or coping strategies.
My goal is to create a place where you can slow down, be honest about what you’re carrying, and start to understand yourself more clearly.
What therapy with me looks like
Therapy isn’t about checking boxes or completing assignments. It’s about relationships, reflection, and insight.
In our sessions, we’ll explore:
▿
How to develop a new and more adaptive life narrative that reflects who you truly are
Ways to enhance your emotional awareness, learning to recognize and understand emotions as valuable sources of information
Wounds in relationships that have shaped the way you see yourself and the world
The root causes of anxiety and depression, not just ways to manage symptoms
Your internal strengths and abilities, helping you tap into resilience and confidence
How to increase your tolerance for uncertainty, so life feels less overwhelming
Skills to communicate effectively, set boundaries, and ask for what you need
I primarily use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS ) to guide our work.
These approaches help you understand patterns, explore emotions safely, and create meaningful, lasting change.
What a Session Feels Like
▹
Each session is a space for you to pause, reflect, and be fully seen. You won’t find long homework assignments or a rigid checklist here.
Our work is relational and tailored to your needs.
A typical session might include:
Checking in on what’s been on your mind or weighing on you
Exploring emotions and experiences as valuable information about yourself
Reflecting on patterns in relationships or life choices that may be holding you back
Identifying strengths and resources you can draw on
Practicing ways to communicate effectively, set boundaries, and navigate uncertainty
Sessions are a collaborative conversation, a space where you can feel supported, understood, and empowered to explore the parts of your life that matter most.
Who I Work Best With
I work with individuals (ages 16–55) who are:
Facing major life transitions or decisions
Balancing multiple roles as a parent, partner, or professional
Processing relational hurt or feelings of being misunderstood
Curious about themselves and open to reflection
Seeking deeper understanding rather than quick solutions
⌓
Many of my clients come with a sense that “something needs attention,” even if they can’t fully articulate it yet.
How we’ll work together
My approach is warm, relational, and depth-focused. You’ll be met with curiosity and compassion, not judgment. I’ll support you as you explore your inner world, understand your patterns, and clarify your values.
◁
Therapy with me is a safe space to:
Ask the questions you’ve been avoiding
Process feelings you haven’t fully acknowledged
Reconnect with your sense of purpose and direction
The work isn’t always easy, but it’s meaningful, and it’s a space where you can finally feel fully understood.
